The People’s Mosquito is delighted to announce that AIRBUS has renewed its support package for an additional three years, reinforcing a valued partnership that continues to drive forward the charity’s mission to restore the iconic De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito to British & European skies.
This renewed commitment from AIRBUS will play a vital role in advancing the charity’s engineering, restoration, and heritage-preservation work. The long-term support ensures that The People’s Mosquito can continue building momentum, expand its technical capabilities, and bring this unique aircraft back to life for the benefit of future generations.
“We are deeply grateful for AIRBUS’s continued support,” said Mark Hitchcock, the charity’s CEO “Their sustained commitment not only strengthens our efforts but also signals a shared appreciation for innovation, engineering excellence, and preserving British aviation heritage.”
The People’s Mosquito extends heartfelt thanks to AIRBUS for its ongoing dedication and trust. Together, we look forward to achieving significant milestones over the next three years as we work to return a flying Mosquito to the skies above Britain and Europe.
Jeremy Greaves, Head of Strategic Engagement and Heritage ot Airbus Defence and Space UK stated: “We continue to support the excellent work of TPM because it is more than simply an important project for UK aviation heritage, it is something we believe in as a company.
“In many ways the Mossie was the world’s first sophisticated ‘natural’ composite aircraft and as our latest generation of world leading aircraft use greater amounts of carbon composite, so the techniques used by our predecessors increasingly resonate with our activities today.
“Our talented workforce stand on the shoulders of giants and supporting TPM is our way of showing a debt of gratitude to those aviation pioneers of yesteryear.”
