On this day in history

October 31st 1944

Nine Mosquito aircraft of 487 (NZ) Squadron RAF take part in a daylight precision attack on the Gestapo Headquarters at Aarhus, Denmark. Swooping in at tree-top height, they achieved complete surprise and within 11 minutes succeeded in completely destroying two buildings containing German intelligence records on Danish resistance activities.
